I have always believed in the importance of finding and following your life’s work. When you are living on purpose, it’s supposed to be fun. Most people spend more than a third of every day working. If no joy comes from that, you may have made a wrong turn somewhere along the way. In my presentation called, “Have Fun at Work, Or You’re Fired!”, I quote author James Michener who says, “The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he’s always doing both.” Fun at work involves more than this, but it’s a good start. Check back to our Fun at Work page as we add more resources.
