Jim Staylor – President & Executive Producer

Jim Staylor is an award-winning Writer/Producer who specializes in corporate training, marketing and event video production. He founded Staylor-Made Communications in 1992 after working at various television, video and multimedia companies. Jim provides expertise as scriptwriter, video producer, narrator, videographer, editor and project manager. He is based in San Diego.
With a background in TV news, public relations, training and entertainment, Jim Staylor has:
- Performed on-camera as a television news reporter, anchor and producer/host;
- Increased heads on beds while working in hospital marketing and hotel training;
- Owned and managed a theatrical troupe that “put imaginations to play” at schools;
- Spoke and coordinated fundraising for the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation;
- Performed voiceover narration for commercials, corporate media & video games; And,
- Stepped on stage as a game show host and as a Master of Ceremonies at various events.
Staylor earned a Masters in Communications (Radio/TV/Film) at Cal State Fullerton and attended graduate courses in Instructional Design through the Educational Technology Department at San Diego State University. He has attended industry related workshops from USC Film School, UCLA, American Film Institute, and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Staylor presents seminars, teaches university courses and writes about how to succeed with video. “Staylor-Made” articles have been required reading in college media courses. His work has been published in the Online Encyclopedia of Educational Technology, the Readings for Writers 13th edition textbook from Wadsworth Publishers and The Art of Voice Acting from Focal Press.

Anne Farrell Staylor is an award-winning communications professional with over 15 years experience in PR and marketing at an executive level, including 8 years as the director of marketing for a national healthcare company. Her international experience includes projects in Antwerp, Belgium; Dublin, Ireland; and Mexico City, Mexico.
As a consultant, Staylor has provided Marcom services for such companies as: Sharp HealthCare, IHS Health Information, IDEURBAN of Mexico City, Medical Data International, UCSD Health Plan, The Altis Group, Sharp Community Medical Group, Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Maquet Cardiovascular, and more.
Anne is a Past President of Health Care Communicators and served with the Business Volunteers for the Arts. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Iowa and a Master’s Degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations from San Diego State University.
